I understand what you mean, but When I said deadhead the pump, I meant with a piece of kit such as the Delphi sealed rail kit.

You can then see the pressure the pump is generating whilst isolated.

All the time you are using the vehicles pressure sensor for your test results you are assuming that it is telling you the correct information.
