Hi all..My mates transit has a weird fault,he,s been trying to sort it but cant find prob.
so now its my turn. No fault codes coz AA guy told him it was crank sensor and cleared them. He fitted new sensor. I have checked crank sensor(duall mass was replaced 9 months ago so no crap on sensor Right this is what it does
Turn key to start,it runs for a moment then stops may start and run ok next go and is fine. The next time its started it starts as though its on 2 cylinders black smoke from exhaust and the throttle pedal does nothing,turn it off and then starts on all 4 but with a slight misfire that gets better after a few revs .This has only occured twice in 4 days.
It had new timing chain ass,exchange pump,in oct 2011.Iv changed filters etc and at mo got inlet manifold off to check wiring to pump module etc,all good and wiggle tests ok with engine running. still no codes yet, seems like a electronic timing issue to me> any ideas what data may pinpoint problem, as im on"mates rates"
