Year of Manufacture *: 2003
Engine Size and Code *: 1.9 DTI F9Q
( Optional ) ECU Type: Bosch
( Optional ) Scanner Used: KTS
When it came in the customer had managed to get it going after a long extended crank.
The Codes were...
P0100 Air mass - Signal too large.
P1125 Boost Pressure solenoid valve Amount insufficient
P0192 Rail pressure sensor 1 signal too low
P1620 Power supply for sensor 1 signal too small.
P0191 Rail pressure sensor 1 signal improbable
P0100 Air mass power supply malfunction
P0105 Boost pressure sensor Performance management faulty
P1120 Accelerator pedal position sensor 1 outside set range.
So the first thing i done was removed the airbox, and looked at the fuel pressure sensor. What I found was the signal wire and the earth wire of the loom rubbed through into the glow plug wire, giving it a direct route to ground, which i thought all well and good. cut the wires repaired them properly and repaired the glow plug wire, and re routed so t wouldn't happen again,
Cleared the codes, and done a 10 mile road test, Driving in everyway possible to try and get the fault to reoccur all well and good, So sent it on its way,
The next day, 100 miles later its back, but with a few less codes,
P0192 Rail pressure sensor 1 signal too low
P1620 Power supply for sensor 1 signal too small.
P0191 Rail pressure sensor 1 signal improbable
P0100 Air mass power supply malfunction
P0105 Boost pressure sensor Performance management faulty
P1120 Accelerator pedal position sensor 1 outside set range.
Take the driver with me this time so he can show me how to get it to do it, and its normally over 60 mph. and high rpm.
All the power supplys are there when i test them and earths are good, KTS shows good fuel pressure and good system power supply, and 5v's are the sensors through actual data. It doesnt go into limp, just cuts out.
I have put this down to the ecu as also sometimes i cannot communicate with it, and have to go back in as a renault trafic. and the way the fault codes will come straight back when cleared.
Can anyone think of any other test i can do before I send the ecu away for testing/repair?
Thanks
Dean
