Re: Vauxhall combo doest rev well and blue smoke
Carl Ford
Thanks for your reply Bryan I have removed inlet manifold and cleaned it out as it was a bit coked up, have taken loads of waveforms from this vehicle all of which seem very noisy not sure if this is an issue or not will have another go at posting them Monday have since also checked compressions and they are good, one problem I do seem to have is with the pipe from the turbo to the intercooler removed and scoping afm I expected to see the waveform go off the scale but it didn't it just peaked at 3.5v so I am now thinking maybe on this engine the afm reads lower than the vehicles I'm used to seeing on a day to day basis. I have had a flick through lots of diesel issues on this forum tonight and one very basic check I had ruled out due to the vehicle revving better with afm unplugged is the timing but thinking about it now this may be a big mistake and maybe I should of checked this as one of my first checks Regards Carl
