I didnt recharge the battery so I dont really know what procedure the owner followed apart from disconnecting the battry before connecting the charger.

I agree that it might well be something simple but with an almost complete lack of any information (Autodata??) it is difficult to know where to start looking (A wiring diagram would have been nice at the very least)


I am not a great fan of digging into wiring issues anyway owing to being R/G Colour blind. Doing so without a wiring diagram is like finding your way around a strange city with no map and the road signs removed! (Less of a problem in earlier simpler times when it was pretty obvious what each wire actually did and there was no delicate electronics to destroy if you probed the wrong thing)


As I said, I am likly to pass this on anyway since even if I do solve tha starting issue I still have the alternator to deal with and since they seem to run out at about £400 (Plus VAT)AND looking like a not so nice job anyway! I am not sure I want to be further involved anyway.

I was just wondering if anybody had come across the "Nonstart after flat battery" scenario before as a specific issue.
