Well done Ian spot on with your tip, New sensor has it working again, only available from Mitsu dealer £54.00.
FYI, I have one of these personally, a 51 plate tested for resistance as a reference 2K on one pin 7K on the other, on this one no resistance on pins to earth but 4K between pins obviously works differently, my guess is the early one does both and the later one tells ecu and ecu works temp gauge on dash.
