This on is an ongoing problem, came in few month ago, customer reported engine had just stopped when driving, but started again immediately.
Fault codes > 216 Injection timing control, 1563 Fuel Injector pump requesting engine stop, 335 Crank sensor circuit malfunction. < stored.
Replaced crank sensor ( o.e. ford ) cleared codes, car has been perfect for 4 months, then same fault and codes have re occurred.
about 2 week ago customer reported slight intermittent stutter, No codes at that time, so know these are recent code and related to current cutting out issue.
I have cleaned connectors on pump and crank sensor, tried a good wriggle test on wires without success
Working along lines that this could be a conflict on pump and crank sensor.
would welcome advice on possible cause and suggestion on meaningful tests to perform.
