Afternoon all.
I have the car detailed above in with the cooling fan running constant at key on, as if it has defaulted "safe" to temp sensor malfunction. Live data shows a plausible coolant temp value. There is no aircon on this car. No DTC's present.
There is a fan control unit fitted top centre on the radiator, with two hefty feed/ground wires going into the controller & two hefty wires coming out & going to the fan. There are two thin control wires, one has a permanent feed & the other is pulled to ground by the engine ECU at key on. The fan has a slow start function (not simply on or off.) I would expect a pwm signal to regulate the controller, but so far I haven't found anyone with a known good one to draw a comparison. It is looking like fan controller or engine ECU, so I need to be sure.
If anyone can get their hands on one of these & take a capture of the fan control signal, I would be very grateful.
