we had the same on a trafic and did the same as you
ours was the actual connector pins to the ecu the owner didnt want a loom fitted so replaced the relevant pin connectors and its been fine ever since
also even when it was fixed i noticed in live data the voltage would drop out but there was no fault with the van
we even tried tech 11 and clip on it and the voltage still dropped out
