I think you need to find someone with a different tool than the Snap-On unit. Do you know anyone with an Autodiagnos MTPro? That will read the correct Volvo fault code for you and then we can get you the full data on the fault.

Guess you're just a little too far away from us especially with most of the roads still closed up over on the tops.....

P.S. Just wondering if that is the Renault diesel engine at that year....you could try the Renault application but I think its on the wrong pin.
