Thank you for all the replies and tips.
I did try activating the fuel pump with Solus, but no drive from ECU.
I bridged the 30 and 87 connections of the relay and the pump ran, also earthed the 85 connection on the relay and pump ran again, proving feeds and relay OK.
The garage owner where the van was recovered to did not want to get involved any further, and this is why it was sent to the main dealer.
ECU's are supplied blank and have to be programmed, I do not have tech2 etc.
