Getting suspicious of the egr function on my 307 so spent a bit of time looking today. Found that the control solenoid for the throttle butterfly didn't work so swapped temporarily with the intercooler by-pass solenoid (used for regen) just to try. Engine is now a lot quieter and smoother most of the time but I am getting some egr/throttle related surging at very light load. I thought maybe it's time to clean out the egr valve (!) Any thoughts on getting it out? I guess turbo inlet pipe off and maybe drop engine slightly but is there something I'm missing? Someone on here must have done one. As an aside, I've had a fault code which occasionally crops up and I finally tracked it down to the cat temperature sensor - at the front of the dpf. Looks easy enough but has anyone cured anything by replacing it? TIA Richard
