Have been called to look at the above vehicle which has been remapped and up until now has been a flying machine. Now though when accelerating you get a massive lag (flat spot) and then power will come back in whilst throwing a load of black smoke out the back.To confirm flat spot did road test and found that required air was 1200mg but what it was supplying was only 340mg,did speak to people who remapped and they said that that was ok with readings?that is the 1200mg have checked airflow meter which proved ok but to make sure replaced with bosch unit still same and readings same would have like to scoped meter but in such an awkward position.Have smoke tested all ok have done a leak off test ok, have checked turbo actuator rod for movement (using mytivac) moves ok. Have removed and cleaned EGR valve no different have blanked egr valve still the same.Customer asked for EGR valve to be replaced as he was talking to someone who had same problem they replaced EGR and that sorted it, tried to explain that replacement would not sort it but customer insisted so now has new alfa EGR valve on. The vac line to turbo actuator runs to n/s and to a valve which is bolted to air box, i hope that somebody can help with some readings that i might expect from this valve because i suspect that this valve may not be working correctly, but really need info on it. Have also removed map sensor and cleaned and refitted. Can anybody throw me a lifeline because i feel that i am going under water with this one.
