Malcolm before you get the injectors tested [thats if you can get them out] heve a look for a vacumm contolled butterfly valve in the air intake just above the brake vac pump
This valve has a plastic link rod that gets brittle and falls off the flap , the flap gets sucked shut starving the engine of air
