Went to read this Freelander yesterday, vehicle had had a flat battery and it had been replaced by the local fast fit service. The vehicle then refused to start and was recovered to the garage where a rear fuel pump was diagnosed and fitted.
The codes related to low fuel pressure which cleared and P1612 undocumented (Solus) The code P1612 would clear but return when the ignition was cycled.
Vehicle was running and driving ok so I read the live data and codes using Dec Superscan, data looked fine I had expected to find low fuel pressure but the primary was 3.5bar and the rail was 289 bar and would increase with RPM.
Dec definition of P1612 was for “engine management light”.
Has anyone come across this?
