This one came in for combustion gasses leaking past injector 4. Injector was removed and new seal fitted. Engine now only running on 3 cylinders. Diagnosed injector gone faulty, by swapping it with cylinder 3.
New injector bought from diesel specialist (£150) and fitted. Now this cylinder works ok, but cylinder 3 now not working.
I've read on another forum that these injectors can go faulty after removing, but to have two go down......that must be real bad luck or are they this bad?
Renault only sell them in sets of 4 at £300+
Looks like we need to get 4 and replace this other faulty one and keep the others for stock.
If they are this crap how do you convince the customer to pay for these when all it was doing before was "chuffing" a bit.....
