Regulator u/s wire broken

new regulator around £300 dealer only !!!!

£10 off e-bay for a new wire and plastic clips.

fiddly job but easy done, stripped out the passenger side as a guide made it much easy'er only took 10 minutes

Just a note on this one I got the cable slightly wrong on the first attempt and it only lasted 3 days, second attempt was correct hence stripping the other door to check, been OK since (hope i haven't jinxed it now)

I dont want to p**s on your fireworks Anthony but stripping drivers door twice and the passenger door once dooes'nt sound like 10 minutes work let alone the time spent on the phone, internet research etc.
With all due respect,if you put a stopwatch on how long you actually spent on this vehicle i.e time spent NOT working on someone elses vehicle I bet you would be flabbergasted.
I hope you charged more than 10 minutes!

And it literally takes 2 minutes to strip & 2 to rebuild the door

second time around took 5 mins to do cable

and its a lot better than £300 DEALER PART no matter how long it takes (unless of course it takes you several hours)

point of the post was to say parts are available cheap rather than new or second hand regulator at silly money.......

Another option would be to purchase one for vauxhall dealer as there price is only £105 !
