Hi
This came in for "restricted performance light on dash" fault codes were air mass sensor circuit "a" flow too high. and one related to barometric pressure and boost pressure sensor "a" performance below required limit. Fault codes would clear but when driving under partial load limp home mode would return. the air mass meters were reading totally different from each other.. one 1002gm other 35gm so i replace the lower sensor "a" air mass meter. fault the same. on further investigation with intake pipes open one was sucking but the other was blowing! i eventually traced the fault to a "balance control valve" at the bottom front of the engine £450+vat but the lever which is same as a turbo wastegate was seized open, 10 minutes of working and spraying and the car drives perfect.
Hi Sean We see this fault allot, Jaguar call it the charge air shut off valve ( csov ) its is available separately and includes a new vac unit and the pivot arm you freed off. They either leak vac or the lever seizes like you found. The modified part number is C2D23020 £48.67+ vat
