Car came into us with engine management light on and pulling bad as if timing out. Read code which stated crankshaft sensor(think it was p0335). Fitted new sensor and car still the same with same code coming back.Checked timing belt and found it was loose and due changing so fitted kit with water pump.
Still the same after this. Also traction control problem showing all this time. Thought it may be bad connection at crank sensor so examined it and saw oil depth sensor beside crank sensor had same connection. Switched connections from one to other and problem solved. Somebody along the way had removed connections and replaced them in wrong positions.Bad manufacturing to have 2 connections the same beside one another. Also traction control light cleared after this. Could have given a lot of time looking for this remedy.Just got lucky for once.
