BMW Mini R56 Cooper 1.6 2007 - ABS light on - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2007
Engine Size and Code *: 1600

Had this one with an ABS light on.
ESP TRW EBC450
1. ESP TRW EBC450 09:29
2. Error memory Number of errors: 3 09:29
5D98 Solenoid valve supply voltage in
hydraulic modulator
Short circuit to earth
5E22 Valve relay/ solenoid valves Excess temperature/overheating
5E23 Valve relay/ solenoid valves Excess temperature/overheating.

Spent an age testing and re testing wiring with no obvious fault. Sent the pump away for testing and it came back OK

New pump fixed it in the end though at £1000 + vet eeeek

Hi Glen, did this new part need coding, if so what tool did you use?

Hi Chris
Yes it did need coding. I fitted it but my nothing I have would code it in, so I ran it into my local BMW specialist who did it using the dealer tool in about 10 mins

just out of interest after it was tested what pursuded you to go for a pump bet that was a big call knowing it cost a grand plus vat and someone telling you its fine
