This VW was in last week with an awful knocking noise, got faster as the car did
It had been in to the dealer who had fitted a driveshaft and then condemned the dsg box.
Turned out to be noise from splis bbs? rim

I was quite shocked at how bad the noise was - it was almost undriveable and sounded like a wheel was going to come off.
I swapped the two front wheels to prove a point and now it only makes the noise in reverse
