Customer phoned to say vehicle would not start after being left for a couple of days.
The battery was healthy and spinning the engine ok.
He went back to car and it started, but MIL on, took the car for a run and all seemed ok.
He phoned next day, car not starting, vehicle was recovered to us and started first try.
Fault codes stored were.
P0201 - Injector 1 open circuit
P0202 - Injector 2 open circuit
P0203 - Injector 3 open circuit
P0204 - Injector 4 open circuit
P0443 - Cannister bleed valve control open circuit
Scoping injectors showed all equal, none with abnormal current of voltage traces, same with cannister valve.
Looking at AD wiring all components went through the same relay in the fusebox (maybe faulty?).
While scoping the injectors at the ECU the crank sensor wiring is right beside the injectors so scoped these as well and these gave a peak to peak voltage of 0.8V at idle which seemed very low.
Trying the vehicle in the morning, again non start, scoping an injector gave the pattern shown,(all over the place!).Again scoped the crank which was barely showing 0.1V while cranking!
Replacing the crank sensor along with a set of plugs(36,000 so nearly due anyway) cured this one.
The strange thing was that we were getting an rpm reading on the dash and on the scantool when a non-starter, so without our pico don't know where we'd have gone with this one.
