he had fitted new ignition coil pack and crank sensor but still no joy
scoped crank sensor and very low peak to peak voltage given (.8v). carried out ohms test on crank sensor (this is when i discovered my meter is faulty) 525 ohms given on a good meter.
We put dum dum on end of crank sensor and re-fitted to engine (scared the dumm dum would fall off and end up in sump) remove the crank sensor and measured the air gap, which looked too big. On inspection of the crank sensor the rubber sealing 0 ring looked like it should come up over the step in the sensor. Moved 0 ring and re-fitted crank sensor and got a whopping 3v on idle - yes it started. Road tested and given back to customer
