Hi Ian,
Did some heater repairs on an XJ6 (X300) recently and while warming the engine up suddenly there was "smoke issuing" as the fire brigade would say! Switched off quickly and investigated, as you might have guessed, a nice big burn mark in the back of the siren. Still waiting for Jaguar to supply 3 weeks on.
