Although we have no FIX at the moment I am hoping this new forum finds one.
Main Dealer has replaced the Turbo,Injectors, Wastegate solenoids.
The vehicles ok for a time, then loses boost again, to be reset by main dealer.Again runs ok until towing Caravan.
Customer now takes car to Peugeot Diesel specialist, who again replaces wastegate solenoid on first visit then informs customer Variable vanes in Turbo are stuck.
Its at this stage I become involved, using forte flush I changed oil & fuel filters and adding a diesel cleaner.Blowing vac pipes thru, checking vacuum, components, loom connections, earths etc.
I removed fault codes which I will detail shortly, boost pressure now matched ref value and the car ran normally,FOR MONTHS.
On reaching a certain load though ie RPM/Road speeds, goes again into safe mode with no boost.
The odd thing is it will do this for many months and although it as only ran 40,000 mls the problem keeps returning.
Now since towing his caravan to and from Cornwall in safe mode(LOS)the codes, even by the main dealer cannot be removed.
Main dealer codes P0100,P0101,P0110,P04401,P1517.
(I replaced MAF & MAP sensors and local diesel specialists have again replaced MAF and cleaned out EGR and blanked pipe.
My X431 brings up codesP0246,P0903,and Hex codes P00CC&P00C8,(injectors?)
The odd thing is different scan tools bring up different codes.
I am now in process of contacting a firm who specialise in Turbo cleaning fluid, RMC-3e.
My suspi'cion is the variable vanes keep sticking.
The guy is a very steady driver in the extreme.
Any suggestions guys before the customer tops himself.
