Add to that the unwillingness of some of the locals to let us vote at all. Yet, for many years, they've lived off the nation via claims and/or jobs.
Furthermore I'm sickened by all the mismanagement over the years and the forgetfulness of people like Jim Wikel (who are you and where do you come from)? On Royal Bay you should simply shut up if you don't know what the contract said but even living in Oregon I can tell you: Said boat and business lost $445,000 in just one year for us (Elroy and KT increased from 5 to !!!17!!! employees, Boo Lane went from dock hand to Marketing director with over $70,000 salary (more than the chief lol), Lori Bacon was managing the whole deal). The contract with Steckline stipulated to keep insurance and business running but we had to pay him the greater between $170,000 a month (starting last year) or a huge percentage of the GROSS (not NET, not PROFITS OK??) every month. Now at $445,000 loss a year (or let's just say a loss of $40,000 a month), that would have been $210,000 loss a month ($40,000 plus what the monthly rate went to = $170,000). And you would have kept that operating??????? Are you serious?
The same nonsense Tonya Blackfox has been saying. Keep operating. Well where do you take $170,000 a month from, out of casino revenue and thus also out of claims? The whole place doesn't make that much, never has in the past either.
From what I heard not even Mr. Steckline could explain in court how he'd have offset $170,000 a month. It would have to be a casino but because of the nature of the contract and the large percentage in there, it's considered a management contract and thus would not pass NIGC (see the contracts we previously had in GLC, also signed by none other than Elroy Howard).
Catch 22 and unless Mr. Steckline is willing to renegotiate; all it can be is a cultural center, we cannot afford to lose that kind of money a month.
