Dear Transferware Collectors Club,
I hope you might be able to help me identify a rare Wedgwood transferware pattern.
I own an antique Wedgwood dinner service printed in dark green transferware on cream earthenware.
The impressed backstamp simply reads “WEDGWOOD”.
The central scene shows:
* an open pomegranate,
* grapes,
* a decanter,
* a wine glass,
* fruit and flowers.
The border is richly decorated with:
* musical instruments,
* floral garlands,
* fruit swags,
* elaborate ornamental motifs.
I am particularly looking for matching soup plates, but before searching further I would love to identify the exact pattern name and period.
I have attached several photographs of the front and back of the pieces.
Any help or suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.
With many thanks,
Didier Bonnin Castellarin
