Plate pattern and maker identification Posted by Max Gamester on January 8, 2025, 11:57 am Love the Transferware Collectors Club FB Page. Was hoping a club member could help me identify the maker and pattern of the attached April 7 1870 plate. Online text and image searches have failed to help. Not sure if it was meant to be whimsical or the artist only had a conception of what a lion looks like, but I love the lion's expression. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Max

It does seem like a lot of artists had trouble rendering the faces of animals, lions especially often looked more like people than real lions. Great pattern!
