It's probably quite hard to pin down the manufacturer , I thought Sunderland at first but its not really quite right for them. There's nothing online about the retailer but I visit Hastings fairly often , there may be a museum or archive with more info. The print on the plate is by John Newman and the one on the cup was published by Rock & co both c.1860

Thanks for sharing this nice cup and saucer, Sally. We have similar, what might be souvenir pieces, of sites in southern England and the west country by the Cambrian pottery in Wales, but don't know if this is by them or not. Yes, the mark would be for a retailer in Hastings but don't know anything about that company either. Sorry I can't help more.
