New pattern 'Miss Tox'

Posted by Richard Hemery on November 26, 2023, 8:46 am

A thick item, I think a teapot stand, 17 cm in diameter, with a scene from Charles Dicken's Dombey and Sons, 'Miss Tox introduces the party' marked on the reverse 'Summer Time' with a registration diamond.

Not sure of the figures in the registry diamond, but if they are 26 at the top, D on the right and K at the bottom, that means a registry date of November 6, 1878, when T.& R. Boote of Burslem registered a printed design.
