Hello, I have exhausted myself in attempting to identify the pattern on this blue transferware pitcher recovered from an archaeological site I am researching in Boston. It has many design elements found in many patterns such as "Canova" T. Mayer Longport; however, I cannot find the pattern present here. The bottom is broken and missing a makers mark. It also has a unique handle style I have not found on other works yet either.
Any help is appreciated as this will assist in interpreting the assemblage recovered at the archaeological site.
Sorry, but I don't recognize this pattern. I searched the database for predominant features such as "campagna vase" and "turret", but nothing relevant came up. I think it's just an invented scene, not copied from a print. The style seems to be Romantic.
