Pattern Identification and Info needed, please Posted by Donna on September 10, 2016, 5:21 pm Since 2014 I've been searching for this pattern. I'll be sending pics to the webmaster who posts on Thursday. Please, can anyone help? I've searched the TCC database but can't find it. Since I'm an archaeologist, I'd like to identify this piece. All of the ceramics so far have been from Staffordshire ca. 1820s-1830s. Thanks to TCC database (and I've recently joined the group) I was able to identify another elusive piece ("Coursing") from a small rim sherd. This is my first time posting so please excuse any glitches!

I tried a bunch of searches including for a border-only pattern, but didn't find anything in the database. It is perhaps a cup or small bowl with no other pattern than the interesting border seen so well in your shards. Don't give up -- we may find it yet. And welcome to the club!!!

I should have mentioned that. Last weekend I was able to identify another pattern ("The Antiquity"). The sherd is so small, but I surmise it's a cup. It was identified from a dinner plate. When The Unknown :-) is finally identified I'm hoping to add it to TCC database.

After almost 3 years, I found the pattern. It's William Ridgway's "Neva." Of course, it was discovered while looking for something else. Isn't that always the way it works?! Find it when you're not looking for it!
