Hi Brian, you are right that are transfer printed, but they were made at the Mosa porcelain factory in Maastricht, The Netherlands, so not unusual you got them from a great uncle who was based there. My great grandmother there had a similar service. 1920s seems correct to me but I am not an expert for these wares.
