I’m hoping someone may be able to help me identify the maker, pattern and approximate date of this large blue-and-white transfer-printed platter.

It measures approximately 18 × 14½ inches (45.7 × 36.8 cm).

The scene depicts four waterbirds — two wading birds and two birds in flight — surrounded by water, rocks, flowering plants and large drooping branches. There is no conventional printed or impressed maker’s mark that I can see. The underside has only a very small cobalt-blue mark/dab.

I am particularly interested in identifying the pattern or source print, since the bird composition and vegetation seem quite distinctive.

I initially wondered whether it might belong to one of the Staffordshire “Oriental Birds”/bird-pattern families, but comparisons I’ve made so far have not produced an exact match.

I’ve attached photographs of the complete pattern, underside, blue mark, and a close-up of the birds.

I would be very grateful for any thoughts on the manufacturer, pattern, date, or possible engraved/printed source for the design.
