Re: Podmore, Walker & Co. "Corean" - Update
Follow-up to my original post: Petra Williams listed this pattern on page 22 of Vol. 1 of Flow Blue China. She describes "The center scene is of a temple in the middle distance at left. This is situated on water and a pennant flies from its tower. In the foreground sits a little figure on a parapet. His hat is plumed and he is holding a tiered parasol. A large jar filled with overscaled flowers is at right, and a tall bamboo and palm tree rise behind the flowers to fill the middle top of the scene. A small boat, flying a flag, is at far distance right." She dates it c.1850.
