A variation of this pattern is #13335 in the TCC Database. It appears on a child's plate of unknown size, and it has a molded dog, fox, and monkey border. The illustration of the center pattern is from "My Grandfather" by William Upton, probably published as a picture sheet by William Darton junior, ca. 1812-1815. The verse on the pattern reads, "Who when he saw me sad or cross/Would spin the top, or trapball toss/ and let me make his cane my horse./ MY GRANDFATHER.
