I knew my grandparents quite weill, they died when I was a young teenager. But only my parents spoke aout the Wedgwood It had been given to my grandmother, Mitze Eschwege, in Hamburg in the later 19th century. Probably shared with her sister, whom I know up to the 1960's in Munich, and who said her family had half the Wedgwood but this was lost during the war.
You say 'We have four examples...." Who is 'we' and can we be in touch to take this further?
I will meanwhile further look at old papers of my grandparents, (in German and often in a handwriting I cannot read). But I think there is nothing about the background or origins of the set.
