I am an Italian collector and recently found in a thrift store this Wedgwood plate. It bears the embossed mark "Wedgwood Pearl + W" and the cartouche mark "Hollyhook." Searching the database, I went back to Pat Halfpenny's essay on the Hordley collection published in the December 2016 TCC Bulletin and immediately noticed the edge match with "mystery" plate No. 38. Although the shape is different, the identity of rim and color and the stylistic similarity of the design make me think they may belong to the same series. However, mine is clearly marked Wedgwood, while the one in the article is attributed to Davenport or Ridgway. So, what do you think? Can mine also be attributed to Thomas Hordley? Thank you!
