Teapot, 11.25 inches handle to spout and 7.5 inches high. It is unmarked but has the same border as the marked saucer illustrated in "Variety" #01, pattern #10483. As with the other views, this scene of a large Palladian mansion in front of a neoclassical church appears to be based on a real view, but so far none have been identified. Royal Hospital of St. Katherine in Regent's Park, pattern #1727, shows a sugar bowl with the same border and pattern treatment, and marked with an impressed anchor. As it is not known that Ralph Hall, the maker of the Variety series, ever used this type of mark it leaves open the possibility that more than one maker produced the pattern. Pending further information that pattern and this one remain Maker Unknown.
Separately, I'll forward a PDF of our Database pattern.
