Matthew, there are numerous occurrences similar to this one among the many thousands of patterns. I doubt if the platter is "unique" (i.e. only one produced), but there may not have been many and there may be few remaining. This is a nice platter (although damaged) and an interesting occurrence, but despite the apparent rarity, I would doubt if there is any added value.
