Thanks for the permission to use your images. I don't have specific knowledge of your pattern or it's use by the club. However, Davenport would frequently take a standard pattern and customize it by adding a client's business name or crest to an existing pattern. All that was required was a small copper printing plate engraved with the customers business name or crest. When the bisque body as ready for printing, two transfers papers would be printed,the original ⁶Davenport pattern was printed, then a hole was very carefully cut to accept a tissue print of the customer's crest of advertising. The large and small printed tissues were applied to the porous biscuit surface. Despite this being slightly labor intensive it was much more cost effective than engraving a complete copper printing plate for the custom requirement.
