My father died last year and it was among his effects - the V&A raised the name William Butterfield (see my name!) who I know nothing about and it may be relevant that I grew up in a house less than 1/4 mile from the remains of the Rockingham Pottery in Swinton, South Yorkshire.
It is in a fragile state so I have attached a couple of snapshots of the pages I can open without damaging it further. I'm guessing it has about 50 pages.
I didn’t want to throw it away in case it was one of those objects that meant something historically and would now be interested to know if there may also be a family link (though my dad was researching our genealogy and never mentioned anything).
I'm not going to be wanting to keep it, so would be happy to submit it for archiving (I'm sure someone will alert me if it turns out to be really valuable!!)
