EJD Bodley Platter?
Posted by Bea Parry on January 19, 2020, 8:20 pm
I think its transferware and the back has the Bodley initial symbol in blue with 'cyanus' below and stamped into the back it has 'EJDBODLEY' and above that 'IVORY'. It looks like a very simplistic cornflower and leaves pattern repeated around rim in a dark almost indigo blue and a small bunch of 3 cornflowers as a centre pattern. I can't find an example of the pattern anywhere on-line and when I type in 'EJD Bodley' or 'Cyanus' it doesn't come up as being a style. I'd like to know if it IS transferware, if it is genuine EJD Bodley, and what the pattern is actually called or listed as and perhaps a manufacture year. I just don't know where else to look for info!!! (sorry there isn't pictures but I'm 63 yo and not techy and I couldn't figure out how to get the pic from my camera to the computer.) Sincerely Bea Parry
