From an archaeological site, I have fragments of cups, saucers, plates of "Sproughten Chantry" (TCCID#1667).

My cup base is marked with the same mark as in the TCC1667 entry, which is called a "Chinese seal" that is "Maker unknown."

As you also noted, this pattern and mark is shown in Williams and Weber 1998 page 72 for what they call "Country Manor".

They state this mark was used by Hicks, Meigh & Jackson, as well as Charles Meigh.

Was it found that William Weber 1998 was incorrect in this attribution?
