As the guy, who runs the Asiatic Pheasants website, I had been intending to respond, but then Julia emailed me direclyt and woke me from my slumber.
That backstamp is attributed to Bovey Tracey Pottery.
Down in deepest Devon, well away from the Staffordshire potteries they ploughed their own furrow as The Bovey Tracey Pottery Company from 1843 to 1894 and then as The Bovey Pottery Company Ltd from 1894 to 1957.
It is recorded (I think from shards found at the pottery, but cannot find the reference for that at the moment) that B T Co is for Bovey Tracey and the engraver, either left out a letter or transposed one letter for another. One would expect the mark to date from around 1880 and therefore it should read B T P Co or if it is from the later period B P Co.
Either way I think the pottery at Bovey Tracey is the source of your piece.
