Help with Identifying Pearlware from Archaeological Site
Posted by Brent Suttie on October 20, 2010, 10:26 am
I would greatly appreciate some help in identifying the pattern, maker and date for a portion of a facetted pearlware cup recovered during archaeological excavations at a site in New Brunswick, Canada. The dating/identification of this piece is important to interpreting a 18th/19th century event at the site. The image will hopefully be posted for your study, but the decoration is blue on white and consists of hached swirls and amoeba-like designs along the interior and exterior rim of the vessel. Any help that anyone could provide on this fragment would be of great utility to me in interpreting this site. Thank you in advance.
