I come from a small line of Tormey's who settled in Scott, WV (which may have still been va at the time). My great grandfather was a John Tormey, his wife was Mary. I know of five children, Bernard Thomas (my grandfather), Monica, "Reet" sort for Margurite, Ethel, and William (not the one killed in the 1903 train wreck). My grandfather had two children, my uncle and my mother who are both gone now. My uncle had no children, my mother three. Monica married John O. Murray, they had no children. Margurite nor William ever married, Ethel married Martin Murray and they had at least two that I remember.
In your searches have you come across this "bunch" of Tormey's? I know prior to 1917 when my mother was born they lived in St. Alban's WV on "B" Street.
If anyone has information on this branch of Tormey's would love to have it. Have found some information on census records.
