my great grandfather was Theodore Bertram Tormey. According to family lore, he hated the name Theodore & went by Bert. Supposedly, when he registered my Great uncle Bob's birth (listed in 1930 census), he listed him as Theodore Bertram Jr instead of Robert Gordon-Uncle Bob eventually straightened it out.My mother says Gertrude died in the early 1940's. (Theodore)Bert remarried Grace-not sure when. I will ask my father if he knows any more about his great grandfather who I think was Peter.
