Last 3 games I have played were bad, and the last game was so extreme I had had enough.
The rules say 1 week suspension and I expect no less. Perhaps if people see it is enforced, they will think twice. What do we lose when a player is barred for a time or banned completely? In my opinion we lose trouble makers , obviously bullys and perhaps gain a more cohesive civilized group that show respect for the players and the game and we all can enjoy the games we play - win or lose.
Why the hell do we protect the trouble makers and let the good , no problem, players walk away ?
I think those who cause trouble should be immediately barred as the rules state (7 days) and before allowed to play again talk to a host to get re- entry.
Disrespectful, angry bullys will never willingly obey rules and YAYY for them they get away with it at the expense of many.
I have played for approx 18 years. It played a big part in my life , including leading to a marriage.
I returned a few months ago when the new people were insisting on all the changes .. and changing all that had been established by Mush and Drunkie in the early days- the respect, the rules being addressed and followed ,the camaraderie , the friendships, the laughs and the welcome feeling , not to mention the good heart games.
Who in their right mind wants to sit down and relax with people who want to take out their daily frustrations on a captive audience, create drama, and bully!
I also told Brian about Mush holding host meetings before games to discuss problems and they were all on the same page and supported each other. No reason that can't be done.
I am hopeful some good will come of this-
: We have certainly gotten to where this is
: obvious to most players. In order to avoid
: losing any more decent people, we are
: cracking down and enforcing the rules
: strictly. I plan to continue signing in as
: 1TOP as long as necessary in order to
: restore this tournament to being a peaceful
: place where people can come in and play
: without suffering aggression and rude
: Two players are currently DQ'd for this.
: One played under a hider nic on the 1st but
: was handled when it became clear who it was.
: That same player showed up last night but
: was excluded from playing and said nothing.
: I think all who played the last two nights
: enjoyed good games without the usual drama,
: and if this continues for a while, the
: culture will change to where no one will
: tolerate such behaviour which makes it
: easier to root out and prevent.
: To your point, the DQ'd players will be
: allowed to return, but if they do not accept
: the new normal, we will permanently ban
: them. It will take diligence to enforce
: that since people do use hider nics, but
: it's the only way we can save the tournament
: as Lee will fold it if it continues like it
: I want to get to where I can play again and
: others who gave up will come back, too.

: I read Takeahart's message. I wish the host
: or the powers to be, terminate players who
: are consistently disruptive. 98 percent of
: the hearts players are respectful of others.
: The best hearts site and I don't want to
: lose it.
