Hi Deb.Things went well on Thursday, brought her in to the hospital at 6.15 am and then had to wait till 8.30 for her surgery. They were done at 11.45 but I couldnít see her till 2.00 pm.She was in a bit of pain but still so fuzzy from the operation and the pain killers they gave her that she could talk too much but she came through it ok.She was a bit on the weak side so I let her go back to sleep as she needed the rest.
I called her this morning before I went in to see her and she was back to her normal self but still in pain. When I got to the hospital she was eating her lunch, cream of mushroom soup(she really hates that kind of soup). They have her on a very bland liquid diet right now, just broth, thin soup and jello and tomorrow they are going to give her something a bit more solid.
They sent some things out for a biopsy to see what kind of cancer she has and to see if they got it all.The doctor thinks that she did get it all but we have to wait for the results. Then we will find out if she need further treatment like that kemo crap and radiation treatments.Im hopeing that we donít have to go through a year of that shit especially for her sake.
Looks like she will be in there till Monday, she is not too happy with that either, she wants to come home.I spend almost all day with her so by the time I get back home I am very tired.Im on the road at 7.00 am and donít get back till 9.30 or 10.00 pm.Very long days. When she wants to nap I go for a walk and a smoke and coffee then sit with her till she wakes up again.
Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers Deb it is very appreciated by both of us and please tell everyone in Tops and Smoots the same. You people are a great bunch of friends to have and we cant thank all of you enough.I will keep you posted on her progress as I find things out.I love you too Deb.
